Synopsis for "Last Days, Part Two of Three: Beginnings and Endings"
The original Challengers and Marlon Corbet are in the Mojave Desert to save the rest of the new Challengers team from snipers controlled by Doctor Carcosa. Marlon recounts the plane crash that brought together the new Challengers. The plane was surrounded in white light, just like a recent incident that the Challengers are investigating.[1] The original Challengers reveal that he plane crash that brought them together was also bathed in light before they went down.
June Robbins reveals to the group that she and Professor Haley were not killed when Challengers Mountain exploded. Instead, they were wisked to a far off planet until just yesterday when the vanished and appeared back on Earth in a laboratory. Red Ryan corrects her: it's actually been five years.
The group presses forward into the desert and finds an advanced lab filled with hostile gunmen who descend upon them. As they do, Saxon kills them and says that the Challengers have to team with him to be safe.
