Synopsis for "Stolen Moments, Borrowed Time, Part One"
The wife of the British prime minister is killed by a sniper and the sniper is himself immediately killed by his spotter. The news media spin the story as part of a larger left-wing terrorist outfit.
Elsewhere, several individuals are plagued by the same dream which motivates them to violence:
- Video artist Zach Dyamond is overcome by visions that drive him to a fist fight in a night club.
- In the United States, athlete and socialite Tessa Crowne is at a gun range and spontaneously assaults one of her associates with the butt of her gun.
- At a traffic collision, hip hop artist and lawyer Rydell Starr punches the other motorist.
- Industrial saboteur Kendra Harte tazes a guard while he watches television on his shift.
- Internet journalist Holden Crosse is accosted by one of his story's subjects and he responds with a right hook.
In international waters, Tom Byshop and a group of pirates attack the Asgard Rainbow. As the ship drifts into the ports at Long Beach, the five strangers are all compelled to walk onto the pier, dressed in matching black outfits, just in time for a mammoth explosion.
These seemingly unrelated events are all tied to Lowell Parker and the Hegemony.
