Synopsis for "Stolen Moments, Borrowed Time, Part Two"
After the huge explosion in Long Beach,[1] strangers Holden Crosse, Tessa Crowne, Zach Dyamond, Kendra Harte, and Rydell Starr find themselves survivors: all are dressed in the same black outfit and have identical head wounds.
Nearby, Lowll Parker and Mae Nash Price of the Hegemony discuss how the attack was targeted at them and assume it was orchestrated by the pirate Byshop.
In the chaos, the firefighters and police try to contain the loss of life and the strangers are approached by Jessi Brydge. She is accompanied by several agents dressed in black suits and they claim they want to help the confused quintet. Just like days before,[2] they are all overcome with rage and fight back briefly before hazmat teams arrive and they all disperse to avoid detection. She has to explain her failure to extract the survivors to Parker, who is not sympathetic.
The survivors confer together in a nearby building and discover that all of them have previously changed their names, purchased similar rings and outfits, and are now being pursued.
