Charity is a fortune teller who was originally a host of a dark mansion, making a living by telling "forbidden tales" to anyone who stopped by.

History

Later, she moved to Opal City and opened her shop, "Fortunes & Forbidden Tales", where she became an ally of Starman and met her future husband Mason O'Dare.

Notes

• Charity first appeared as an unnamed witch who introduced the stories in the anthology series Forbidden Tales of Dark Mansion. Starman (Volume 2) #2 reveals that her witch persona was a character she played and that the "dark mansion" was actually a tourist trap, in contrast to DC's other horror hosts like Cain and Abel, who actually are supernatural beings.
