Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine are the Dead Boy Detectives.
History
Origins
Many years ago, Charles was tortured to death by some bullies in their school in England, and later returned as a spirit and met Edwin Paine, another ghost. When Death came to take Charles to the afterlife, he chose to stay on Earth with Edwin as ghosts. They later formed the Dead Boy Detective agency and befriended Crystal Palace and Tim Hunter.[1][2]
The Krasue
In the present day, Charles and Edwin went to the United States and were hired by little Timmy to find his neighbor Jai Sirikull, in return for a rare magic card made of foil.[1]

- Charles Rowland was created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, first appearing in Sandman (Volume 2) #25. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Charles Rowland first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Books of Magic (Volume 3) #21 by David Barnett.
