The Church of Supergirl was a cult devoted to worshipping Supergirl as God's messenger on Earth after her actions in Day of Judgment. It was found and led by Dr. Bob Smith who used the cult to enrich himself.
History
The cult first attempted to worship Supergirl as a messiah figure after witnessing her actions during the Day of Judgment event and seeing her miraculous healing abilities during a public display. The cult had sprung up worldwide where many would come to Leesburg to see Supergirl in the hopes she would heal their afflictions and hear their prayers.
The cult was broken up personally by Supergirl who was enraged at how the cult was used to enrich Dr. Smith, who died from a heart attack after Supergirl confronted and threatened him for his actions.
