The Circle is a group of "enhanced" humans who believe themselves to be the first creation of God, they found themselves in conflict with Superman, whom they at first believed was like them.

History

They first come in touch with Superman in Qurac, when Prana tried to tap into Superman's emotions he weakened, but he believed he could be the most powerful member of the Circle. Prana managed to enter Superman's mind which caused the Man of Steel to suddenly collapse and experience all kinds of visions about his past, Prana come to the conclusion that Superman is something more than his kind and that he has an overwhelming peace inside of him, no turmoil, no hate, no anxiety, no judgments over others. But the incredible mind of Superman proved too much for Prana, who died shortly after Superman unknowingly fought back his mental outwits. Prana's wife, Zahara, saw everything unfold and upon his husband death, she swore revenge on Superman and combined the remaining force of the two to try one last attack on Superman, but it ultimately failed.

The Cult was also responsible for giving Qurar president Marlo weapons he used to attack Metropolis.[1]

Later in a meeting with the rest of the Circle Zahara explains how Superman must be killed, Concussion decides to take this task, while the rest of the Circle assumed a human form to walk amongst the population, however Superman defeat Concussion shortly after.[2]

The Circle would free Concussion thanks to the help of Charger and Zahara would try one last time to reach out Superman's mind, after a mental battle, Zahara simply asks for Superman's help, saying his power could complete the Circle and help them leave the Earth, a tired Superman accepts and the Circle seemingly disappeared.[3]
