The Circle of Eternity, also known as Council of Eternity, was a group of seven powerful wizards based out of the Rock of Eternity that oversaw and defended the ancient world, judging the guilty for their sins, until they were betrayed and wiped out by Black Adam. The only survivor of the original Council was the Wizard Mamaragan, who exiled Adam. Many years following the Council's destruction, it was briefly reconstituted by The Presence during the Futures End storyline with several villainous members, like Blight, Eclipso, Mister E, Neron, Sin Eater, Trigon, and Zauriel.
The Circle of Eternity was created by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank, first appearing in The New 52: FCBD Special Edition #1 (2012).
