Volcana is a pyrokinetic enemy of Superman.

History

As a teenager, Claire Selton discovered that she had pyrokinesis. In order to help her control her new ability, Claire's parents sent her to Metropolis's Center for Paranormal Studies. The center was used by a shady government institution to recruit metahumans for military use. Claire escaped, and turned to a life of petty thievery to survive. She turned her attention to her captors, killing their leader, Kurt. Superman tried to teach her how to control her powers and end her life of crime, but it failed.

Years later, Volcana joined Grodd's Legion of Doom. She participated in the fight between Grodd's forces and Lex's in the Legion of Doom HQ, and later, joined the Justice League's fight against the Parademons.
