Clancy Brown (b. January 5, 1959) is a prolific American character actor who has portrayed various characters in adaptations of DC Comics stories. Most notable among these would be the DC Animated Universe incarnation of Lex Luthor, primarily on Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League Unlimited.

Clancy Brown is a prolific character actor recognized for his deep, resonant voice and wavy hair, often cast as villains and authority figures in animated and live-action projects. His most notable film roles Captain Hadley in The Shawshank Redemption, Surtur in Thor: Ragnarok, Sgt. Zim in Starship Troopers, and the Harbinger in John Wick: Chapter 4. His most notable television roles include Mr. Krabs on SpongeBob Squarepants, Kurt Caldwell on Dexter: New Blood, and Richard Brinkerhoff on Gen V.
In 1996, Brown lent his voice to the role of Lex Luthor in the DC Animated Universe series Superman: The Animated Series, a role which he reprised on Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. His portrayal received near-universal acclaim, and he is often cited as the best actor to portray the character. Brown went on to voice other versions of Luthor in animated projects such as The Batman and Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, as well as the video games Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, and Lego DC Super-Villains.
Other animation roles of his for DC Entertainment include Mister Freeze on The Batman, General Zartok on Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Negative Man and General Immortus on Doom Patrol, Gorilla Grodd in Robot Chicken DC Comics Special 2: Villains in Paradise, and more.
In live-action DC projects, he provided the voice for Parallax in Green Lantern, and portrayed General Wade Eiling on The Flash and Salvatore Maroni on The Penguin.
