Superman was a hero in Metropolis, fighting domestic threats and Japanese spies.

Clark Kent, also known as Superman, was born on the planet Krypton. When his world was on the verge of destruction, his father placed him in a rocket and launched it in the direction of Earth.

The ship eventually landed on Earth and was found by a motorist, who took the infant to an orphanage.

Eventually, he was given the name Clark Kent and over time realized his powers. He eventually moved to Metropolis, was employed by the Daily Planet, and adopted the alternate identity of Superman to fight evil.

Superman became involved in World War II, destroying several ships in Japan while he (as Clark Kent) and Lois Lane were on assignment there. He also helped to protect allied military documents from falling into the hands of the Nazis.

Powers

  • Kryptonian Physiology: Superman's cellular structure is much more dense, resilient, and biologically more effective than human tissue.
    • Superhuman Strength Superman possesses Enhanced/Superhuman Strength, allowing him to lift and carry heavy weights such as: a wooden tourist vehicle, drag a ship underwater etc. In the cartoon, one of his biggest strength feats was dragging the Fort Knox train, loaded with gold bars, by kilometers behind him.[2]
    • Superhuman Speed: Superman possesses Superhuman Speed, enabling him to catch up to and surpress an express train.
    • Invulnerability: Superman's body is nigh-invulnerable due to his superhumanly dense cellular and anatomical structure. Superman is under some circumstances resistant or immune to different forms and levels of lacerations, blunt force trauma, energy-based assaults and getting shot at with bullets will make them bounce off of him, falls from great heights, explosions, etc.
    • Flight: Superman has the power to fly at incredible speeds rivaling those of an airplane or spaceship, he does this by manipulating graviton particles to defy the forces of gravity and achieve flight. he can hover in place, or move in any posture and in any direction.
    • Enhanced Vision:
      • X-Ray Vision: Clark has the ability to see through practically everything thanks to his X-Ray vision, this allows him to see through objects as if they were not there. "peel" back layer after layer like an onion, and through focusing he can literally see through matter.[3]
