Synopsis for "Grimstone Quest"

Claw and Ghilkyn are underway with their quest to recover a key known as the Grimstone when they suddenly run into a Cyclops type beast. The beast seems to be invulnerable to their blade thrusts so Claw throws his sword at the beast. As the monster catches the blade, he is struck by lightning and gets electrocuted. The scene comes to an end, King Occulus is seen scolding the wizard Miftung for his latest failed attempt to kill Claw. The monster had supposedly been his creation but Claw had quickly vanquished the Cyclops beast. Claw and his companion continue on in their travel when they reach an isolated dwelling where they meet a weathered old man named Safa Ghul. The old man is in possession of the prime facet of the forbidden Grimestone and he readily offers it to Claw for a price. The old man is willing to trade the Grimstone piece in exchange for a set of jeweled eyes which are located on a nearby oracle. He threatens to destroy the Grimstone piece unless Claw agrees to the deal. The pair of adventurers have no choice but to obtain he jewels for the old man. They travel for hours until they arrive at the massive shrine of the Oracle. Upon entering the shrine they are approached by a beautiful maiden named Mlrissa that warns them not to enter or else they will wind up dead like the corpse at her feet. Claw pays no mind and charges forward. They locate the huge dragon like oracle in the middle of the shrine and they can see that it has a pair of jewels for eyes. Claw jumps into action to recover the jewels but he is soon attacked by a lobster type creature. Ghilkyn and Claw fight the lobster creature with their swords and successfully kill it. The maiden seems elated as she pronounces that she is finally free. She approaches Ghilkyn to give him a passionate kiss but the damsel then attacks him and Claw finds it necessary to strike her down with his blade. Unfortunately this only results in the maiden coming back to life and multiplying herself. Each time she is struck with a blade she multiplies and resumes he attack. As claw keeps the multiple maidens at bay, Ghilkyn climbs to the top of the Oracle and retrieves the jeweled eyes. This action results in the elimination of the multiple maidens and it also kills the Oracle. Claw and Ghilkyn then return to give the jeweled eyes to the old man in exchange for the Grimstone facet. The old man places the jewels upon his own eyes for the purpose of gaining knowledge of a thousand millennia. After a few moments, the old man begins to scream in agony as he begins to receive an overload of information. The old man collapses as Claw declares that putting the mind of a God into the skull of a man was a foolish notion.
