- Clay Brody was created by Steven Grant and John Paul Leon, first appearing in Challengers of the Unknown (Volume 3) #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Clay Brody first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in DC Universe Presents #6 by Dan DiDio and Jerry Ordway.
