Cliff Crosby was an American adventurer who was active in distant parts of the world, in the early 1940s.
History
Cliff Crosby had some truly harrowing adventures. In South America, he fought a giant octopus, then wore its corpse on his head, to frighten a gang of slave traders.[1] In the Arctic Circle, he fought a cobra, and two polar bears, and met a roving tribe of African pioneers.[2]
