Clifford Steele (Doom Patrol Shorts)

Robotman (real name Cliff Steele) is a loyal and dedicated member of the Doom Patrol, and a cyborg armed with a super-strong and nearly indestructible robot body.

Origins

At some point, Cliff Steele, a cyborg with immense strength and durability, joined the Doom Patrol to protect the world from powerful and bizarre threats as the superhero "Robotman". He grew a close kinship with his teammates Negative Man and Elasti-Girl, and became very loyal to their leader, the Chief.[1][2]

Superhero career

Robotman went on several missions with the Doom Patrol, going toe-to-toe with foes such as General Immortus and the Brotherhood of Evil,[1][3] and performing several rescue missions. Eventually, the shapeshifter Madame Rouge replaced the Chief and began sabotaging the team's missions.[2]

When Rouge was discovered by Negative Man, she attacked the Doom Patrol, including Robotman, and began crushing them all with her elongated arms, offering them seemingly no escape. It is unclear whether the Doom Patrol survived this encounter.[2]
