Scorn was the sidekick of the anti-Batman Wrath.

Three years before the Wrath's cop-killing spree, Batman had caught a small time thug named Clyde Anderson and had warned him to do something useful with his life when he got out of jail. Unfortunately, Anderson had not taken his advice. Strangely, Anderson hadn't blamed Batman for his incarceration, but the Gotham City Police Department officers who had brought him in after meeting the vigilante. Rather than spend his time in prison getting an education as Batman had suggested he do, Anderson wasted it all on frivolous lawsuits against the officers who brought him in. Eventually, he managed to get a reduced sentence and a work release program upon parole. That work release program was offered by businessman E.D. Caldwell.[1]

As Scorn, Anderson worked for Caldwell's alter-ego, the Wrath, taking revenge on the GCPD, and killing Officers Bradley and Parker. Officers Strode and Melendez were nearby, trying to protect their comrades, but it did them little good. Though Scorn shot at Melendez, he aimed for his chest, and not his head, leading to the Caldwell Tech bulletproof vest protecting him. Though he was extracted by his employer, Anderson was reprimanded for not taking a headshot instead of shooting nonfatally for a police officer, and, through the expression of Wrath's namesake emotion, he crushed his partner's helmet and threw him from the helicopter he had saved him in, letting him fall to his death.[2] He was identified outside of his secret identity postmortem.[1]
