Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Da Social Lion"
Thanks to a clerical error, Doiby's name shows up on the social blue book of rich folks, which Sluggsy Gallagher's looking through for potential marks. He sends a pair of underlings to pretend to be fellow members of the upper crust and convince Doiby it's customary for new members of society's elite to play a prank of pretending to rob each other, and at a society party that night he should leave an upstairs window open so they can get in. Green Lantern shows up and interrupts the robbery, but thanks to his mask is taken for the real thief by the bluebloods in attendance. Unable to betray his new friends, Doiby claims he's never seen Green Lantern before, and the hero flies off in disgust.
Being in the upper crust isn't all it's cracked up to be, Doiby soon learns. He's convinced to sell his beloved Goitrude to buy a luxury car instead, and hurts his rear riding a horse instead of a car during a fox hunt. The final straw is he can't bear to let harm come to a cute fox hunted for sport. When Green Lantern intervenes to prevent Sluggsy Gallagher from pulling off another robbery, Doiby can't bear to let the socialites impugn the hero's honesty again either and calls the whole thing off, no matter what book his name's in. Green Lantern welcomes his partner back, but isn't sure Goitrude will be so understanding...
