Condition Red is Max Cash, a super-soldier in the Wildstorm Universe. His brother is Grifter, and they have both been members of the Wildcats. Max started as an agent of I.O., and left the government to pursue freelance work. Grifter was forced to kill him during Devil's Night. There is also a second unrelated Condition Red named Caleb who became a member of the Monarchy. In the New 52 reboot, Max Cash is a government agent killed by Daemonites. Max Cash was created by Brandon Choi and Jim Lee, first appearing in the Image publication Savage Dragon #13. (1994)
