Construct is an artificial intelligence created by the Monitor to help him guard the Multiverse.
History
Construct was created as an artificial intelligence with female characteristics by the last surviving Monitor Nix Uotan, in order to help him keep a watch on the Multiverse. When a new crisis started threatening the multiverse, Construct helped him learn more about it, since she could examine all universes. She also had his message regarding the multiverse being in peril recorded and sent to various champions across the multiverse.[1]
After the destruction of Earth-48, Construct told the Monitor about the situation and despite believing no one survived, scanned the Bleed to find any survivors. This allowed the Monitor to save Batman of Earth-0, Green Lantern of Earth-13, Wonder Woman of Earth-17, Catwoman of Earth-19 and Robin of Earth-43.[2]
When the forces of Brainiac of Earth-43 assaulted Nil, Nix was forced to take Construct offline after his enemy gained control of the systems.[3] Lex Luthor of Earth-19 however figured out a way to insulate the systems from any outside access by using magic, allowing him to regain control and ordering Construct to fire at the enemy. After the death of Brainiac, she ejected his remaining Metallos back to Earth-43.[4]
When the main wave of the Infinite Crisis struck as the Monitor had anticipated, Construct was deployed to guard the various bases he had set up across universes to build his mechanical forces, which would help in fighting back against the drones being deployed by their enemy. She helped in guarding the heroes and Protectors, while keeping the enemy at bay.[5]
