History
Cosmo Dugger was also known as "Skull" Dugger for his high intellect. He was eventually diagnosed with anhedonia, a psychologial condition that robbed him of the ability to experience joy. Dugger eventually developed a couple of machines in order to steal other people's feelings of joy to experience it in his body. Unfortunately, the machine designed to steal people's joy also murdered its victims and after a series or murders, Dugger was tracked down by Gotham City's protector, Batman. However, Batman used Dugger's machine in reverse by accident and was crippled as all his actions would cause him pain.[1]
Dugger continued his criminal spree, but Batman eventually confronted him, overcoming his crippling pain sensation. Dugger and Batman struggled briefly in Dugger's laboratory, where the villain met his demise.[2]

Notes
- This version of Skull Dugger, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
