In the early 1950s this small European nation was taken over by ordinary gangsters, but with assistance from the Blackhawk Squadron, Costania was able to restore its legitimate government.
History
In 1951 a criminal syndicate subverted the police force of Costania, and thus was able to take over its government. One official of the old regime was able to radio a message to the Blackhawks. Upon their arrival, the Costanian Police tried to arrest the Blackhawks, which worked out badly for the police. The Blackhawks seized control of a radio station and alerted the Costanian public to their true situation. The police made a second attempt to arrest and execute the Blackhawks, but now the general public was on their side, and their numbers soon prevailed. Many arrests were made, and the Blackhawks declined an offer of Costanian citizenship, then departed.
