Costonya was a tiny democracy in Europe, and an exporter of uranium.
History
In 1953, uranium was discovered in Costonya, whose democratic government agreed to sell its ore to a group of Western European democracies. The Blackhawks were asked to unofficially assist with security. The very first attempted shipment was disrupted by giant robots, which seized entire trucks of ore, and destroyed several others, killing a lot of drivers and loaders. They also wrecked the Blackhawks' Lockheed jets, but the team was able to track one damaged robot back to its base, an auctioned-off old prison, now owned by a scientist named Yorga.
Now calling himself the "King of the Iron Men," this villain was unaligned with either side of the ongoing Cold War, but planned to sell off his stolen uranium to the highest bidder. The Blackhawks got inside his lair and disabled his robots. Yorga turned out to be secretly a giant, who concealed his own identity by impersonating one of his own giant robot bodyguards. Yorga was arrested and the stolen uranium was recovered.
