Synopsis for "Countdown Presents: Lord Havok and the Extremists - Part Five: Man of Peace. Man of War."

In a flashback of the passing of the Metahuman Act, mass protests by metahumans who are against the Act have spread across the United States of Angor. In a news interview, Hans Leckter (Doctor Diehard), headmaster of the Academy for Advanced Children and leader of the protests, explain from his point of view that the Metahuman Act pose a threat of creating anti-superhuman sentiment and defends that the mass protests are non-violent. Furthermore, he states that he himself isn't a "man of war" but a "man of peace". Much later at the Academy for Advanced Children, Leckter is urgently reported by her daughter, Silver Sorceress, that the Meta Militia have arrive in the academy's front gates to arrest Leckter and his students for protesting against the government and the Metahuman Act, and are confronting the Zen Men at a standoff. Leckter quickly defuse the situation by having himself and his students surrender to the Militia.

In the present, Doctor Diehard convinces his Extremists allies (including an awaken Tracer) in overthrowing Lord Havok and are immediately confronted by him.

Leckter and his students are rounded up in a prison that is almost similar to a concentration camp along with the other unregistered metahumans, and are announced by their correctional officers that they are deemed "dangerous" and are implanted with a computer chip that prevents them from using their powers to prevent "violent encounters" between the guards and themselves. Furthermore, they are given the option to be free if they decide to sign up and join the Meta Militia. Leckter's son Jack, appalled by the prison's condition and the number of their students and friends that are joining the Militia, tries to convince his father into "do something about it". However, Leckter still refuse to resort to violence and firmly uphold his pacifist beliefs that will convince some moral people into coming to their senses. Leckter is then met by one of his student, One-Eye, who informs him that he has decided to join the Militia due to relenting to the situation and especially concerning for the welfare of his family, dejectedly part ways with him.

The Meta Militia led by Wandjina fight the waves of Havokoids but couldn't penetrate the force field surrounding Slovekia. Americommando joins the fray with Monarch and his forces, and the latter shortly neutralize the force field.

Leckter shockingly discovers the body of Silver Sorceress, who was killed for resisting a guard who was attempting to rape her. As Leckter mourns over his daughter, Jack scold his father's nonviolent beliefs as being pointless in stopping the brutalities, and angrily attempts to attack several Militia guardsmen but only to be brutally kill in front of his father. As Leckter stares in shock, One-Eye deliberately destroys Leckter's inhibitor chip and asking him to "do something."

Meanwhile, Blue Jay decides to fight against Americommando. Despite his wife's pleading to stop him, Blue Jay reveals to her that he have known that she has been sleeping with Americommando for months and have been planning a set of divorce papers for her. Blue Jay then tranquilize his wife in preventing her from informing anyone of his act before takeing off in his battlesuit, the Raven Armor.

Back in Slovekia, Lord Havok tries to sway Diehard from turning against him by reminding of the friendship and loyalty that have been forged between them when Diehard incited a rebellion in the concentration camp that almost fail until the timely arrival of Havok that cause it to prevail. Likewise, Havok reminds the other Extremists that it was he who have helped them in overcoming their personal crisis and questions them of standing against him and everything they went through into becoming Extremists. Diehard himself isn't convinced into letting down his rebellion, but he is attack by his comrades at Havok's order in which Louise (reluctantly) delivers the killing blow after turning into Dreamslayer. After Diehard's death, the Meta Militia and Monarch's forces have breached into the capital.
