Synopsis for "The Beginning of The End"

The Challengers from Beyond return to their Earth from the now devastated Earth- 51. After a brief argument over whether they should remain a team to stop the Great Disaster from occurring on their Earth, they decide to largely part ways. Red Hood decides to leave, but when Holly Robinson and Harley Quinn decide to return to Gotham, he goes with them. Firestorm returns to his life. Green Lantern, Donna Troy, and Atom decide to take Jimmy Olsen, accompanied by Forager, decide to take Jimmy to the Justice League of America so they can help him figure out his powers and the threat of Darkseid. Mary Marvel (Mary Bromfield) leaves to see what is happening on Themyscira and check in on Billy Batson and Freddy Freeman. When she returns to her apartment, she finds Darkseid there waiting for her. He tells her that her returned powers are diminished because the Olympian Gods for not fully trust her. He offers her the dark power she previously held. She admits that the power made her feel strong. In a moment of weakness, she accepts, and he tells her that, in return, she must bring him Jimmy Olsen.

On the Monitor Satellite, Monitor Solomon laments that his fellow Monitors have ostracized him despite that he managed to confine the Morticoccus Virus to one world. It is finally revealed that the world which the virus destroyed was Earth-Seed-51. Solomon, however, still has plans to make a play for power.

At the Hall of Justice, Mary Marvel attacks the heroes accompanying Jimmy. Eventually she manages to grab Jimmy and fly away with him.
