The Court of Apokolips is a political body that handles the day to day operations and political issues of Apokoliptian society whose authority is second only to Darkseid. In the event of Darkseid's demise or absence, the court has supreme authority over Apokolips and its inhabitants.
History
Each member of the court is in charge of a specific aspect of Apokoliptian life such as Rectifier who is in charge of maintaining the planet's info structure and Arcanis who is the keeper of all of Apokolips' lore. In times of crisis the planet itself chooses an avatar to lead the court, so that the court might better to adhere to the planet's wishes.
