The Crimson Host were a Soviet team created to replace the Red Lantern.
History
The Host's first mission was to kill Red Lantern, as well as his American counterpart Green Lantern. They destroyed Sokov's lantern, which made him unable to charge his powers and meant that he died when the final charge in his ring ran out. However the Crimson Flame restored Sokov to life and gave him the ability to wield its power without the ring, as it had chosen him and not the Host. Sokov brutally murdered his erstwhile replacements with a single massive energy blast.
