- Crispus Allen was created by Greg Rucka and Shawn Martinbrough, first appearing in Detective Comics #742. However, Crispus Allen first appeared as part of Prime Earth continuity in Batman/The Shadow #4 by Scott Snyder, Steve Orlando, and Riley Rossmo.
