Curt Swan (b. February 17, 1920 – d.June 16, 1996) was a writer.

Professional History

Swan is probably best known as the penciller for the Silver Age-Bronze Age Superman titles, as well as the Legion of Super-Heroes. Swan succeeded Wayne Boring as the prime Superman artist.

He provided the pencils for Alan Moore's imaginary tale Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? which was Swan's final major contribution to the series. He was released from his regular Superman duties in 1986, though he would infrequently return to the character for another decade. His final Superman contribution was five pages in Superman: The Wedding Album, which was released six months after his death.
