The Imitation of Life is a 10-part storyline, the first Cyborg story published during the DC Rebirth era. It was written by John Semper, Jr., with illustrations by Paul Pelletier. This is the first arc of Cyborg (Vol 2), preceding Danger in Detroit.

Cyborg struggles with his own identity, whether he is man or machine, while dealing with parental problems and a whole host of new foes and villains. When his allies and the world come under threat from a place very close to him, Cyborg must try to put aside his personal issues and save the world.
