Professor Rathaway is a lecturer at the Keystone University in 1996 when Captain Atom is stranded powerless in the time.
History
Atom approaches the Professor for advice regarding time paradoxes and the two become good friends.
Later in 2000 the Professor publishes a best-selling book "It's About Time" and Atom meets with him for further advice. Using his connections with the curator of the Keystone Museum he uses the MRI machine on Atom but the machine is destroyed. Soon later Atom returns to 2017.
