Earth-X is an alternate reality in which a resurgent Nazi Party took over the USA in the late 1950's.
History
As in the main universe, the Allies defeated the Axis in World War II. However, Vandal Savage reconstituted the Nazi party and led it to victory over America, founding the Fourth Reich shortly before 1960. The only remaining resistance was General Zod's Freedom Fighters. Savage also found the infant Kal-El and raised him to be Overman, the symbol and chief enforcer of the Reich.
One day, dimensional anomalies began to wreak havoc on the world, and Overman disappeared, replaced by his parallel universe counterpart Superman. With the aid of Superman and the Superman of Earth-D. The Freedom Fighters overthrew the regime and imprisoned Savage. Overman later returned from his own inter-dimensional journey and surrendered to the Freedom Fighters, wracked with guilt over his actions.
