History
DCAU or DC Animated Universe is a fan-originated term which refers to the continuity family that contains animated series, made-for-television movies, comics and video games. They are not one single "canon" timeline in the strictest sense; as many of the series, especially the comics, were created by different teams, they may contradict each other. Nonetheless, they are grouped together.
Though named a "Universe", it is actually a multiverse of its own (with at least four Earths), with parallel worlds inhabitated by imperialistic Kryptonians, the Justice Lords and the Justice Guild.
