On Christmas Eve, Lois Lane stops a man about to jump from the Daily Planet rooftop. George explains that his wife left him and doesn't want to spend Christmas alone. Lois then explains that even Superman can feel incredibly alone in Christmas, but he makes the most out of it by being kind to others. Lois invites George to join her and someone else for a cup of coffee, and George accepts the offer.

Synopsis for "A High Father Christmas"

Highfather and Orion visit Earth during Christmas time, and the owner of a shopping mall mistakes them with actors from an agency hired to play Santa Claus and an Elf at the mall. Synopsis for "Satan's Little Helper"

A man summons Etrigan for a ritual that will give him his deepest desire, but with the high price of giving his soul away. When the man is about to pull his desire from the gate, his daughter interrupts the ritual. The man plays along saying Etrigan is one of Santa's helpers, and the girl eagerly pulls a Batman toy out of Etrigan's gate, ruining the ritual and dooming her father's soul for a toy.

Synopsis for "The Vessel"

Kyle attends a meeting with a Jewish friend and her sister, who invite him to a Hanukkah service. Even though he's not religious, Kyle tries to impress Beccah with his knowledge of Hanukkah's history, but she stops him on his tracks when she reveals she's the Rabbi. When they get to the synagogue, they are horrified to find it vandalized with Nazi signs and hateful graffities. The vessel for the Eternal Flame is also stolen, and Kyle decides to do something about it. He tracks the vandals to their lair and confronts them. Even though his ring runs out of power in the middle of the fight, Green Lantern continues fighting them. As if by miracle, Kyle's ring recharges on its own, allowing him to defeat the vandals quickly and retrieve the golden vessel. Kyle assists the ceremony, and the speech makes him start to believe in miracles.

  • In "Present Tense," Wally West imagines his original present for Linda Park, a super-fast microwave, as a bowling bowl with the name "Homer" on it, a reference to The Simpsons episode, "Life on the Fast Lane." Later, Wally runs past a restaurant called Infantino's and a store called Waid's.
