Synopsis for "Winter Is Coming"

Zatanna and John Constantine are heading to Leningrad. As they fly over Russia, they observe a powerful German force marching to the Russian city.

On Leningrad, Supergirl is trying to relax and kick back for once as she watches Power Girl and Superman putting on a show for the locals. Afterwards, she shows her Kryptonite dagger to her clones and Dr. October. Dr. October asks where she got it. Kara answers Lex Luthor gave it to her. October also asks what she knows of the cosmonaut program her father belonged to.

Power Girl asks Supergirl why she didn't try to use the dagger on her. Supergirl answers the key to free her wasn't violence but understanding. Both girls keep talking, Power Girl telling what living in Strange's bunker lab was like, and Supergirl warning they only have a little while left before the final battle begins.

In his wrecked laboratory, Hugo Strange is mourning his ruined dreams of a perfect world when Killer Frost calls. He is forced to confess he lost the three Kryptonians. Killer Frost gets mad and orders him to inform the General.

Meanwhile on the surface, Lois Lane and Raven converse while the latter is magically searching her father Trigon which has been enslaved by the Nazi army. She gets shocked when her magical orb says her father is already here.

A German army led by Killer Frost is at the doors of the city. Supergirl braces herself for the battle and takes off.

Nonetheless, Zatanna and Constantine have also arrived. Zatanna recognizes Frost, the ice witch who murdered Raven's family, and attacks. Zatanna and Constantine engage Frost and her mythical creatures until a woman called Abigel Kholland turns up and joins forces with them. Abigel leads her own pack of Russian folk monsters including the lesovik... as well known as the Swamp Thing.

Meanwhile, alerted by Hugo Strange, Soviet General Fyodora Khulun flies to Leningrad, revealing her true self: Faora Hu-Ul.
