Quote1 It is my fault Ipati is gone! Kortni should be the girl with two fathers, and I am the reason she has none! They have blood, have birth, have a story together -- they are a family, and I am a foundling! I have done nothing but endanger the people I love. Quote2

Synopsis for "Allies"

On Greece, a Nazi squad learns what the "You will have the world. The Tenebrae will have the dead" bargain really means "The Tenebrae will kill all humans". Meanwhile, Wonder Woman keeps fighting enemy armies. She and Steve Trevor meet Tenebrae for the first time and bump into the Baroness Paula von Gunther, Commander of the First Tenebrae Batallion.

Supergirl, Stargirl and Mera have arrived in London. Mera pokes fun at Kara's seriousness which reminds her of Diana, and asks about Kortni's Cosmic Staff. Kara explains it was invented by their father so Kortni could keep up with Kara and their family was safe. Then Varvara decides it's time to tell their daughters about Kortni's biological father. In 1923 she spent several months in Saint Petesburg as the companion to a military officer's wife, and fell in love with Samuel Whitmore, a travelling English Lord. Varvara got pregnant and Samuel wanted to get married to her. However, Varvara falling for a foreign, capitalist nobleman outraged her Communist employer. Samuel was driven away and Varvara called vermin and sent to a desolate village called Tarakanova.

She and her unborn child would have died in the way if the animals and creatures of the forest had not helped her. She reached Tarakanova and made a living as a farmer before meeting and getting married to Ipati.

Varvara finishes her tale telling what despite all what she has suffered, when she looks at her daughters she can not be happier. She also reveals Kortni's father wished to name her Courtney Elisabeth Whitmore.

After listening to her mother, Kara wanders off. She is terrified that her mother and her sister will leave her now, and blames herself for their father's loss. However Kortni reassures her that she would never leave her beloved sister.

The next morning, "something" is lurking under the waters of the Thames. Mera dives into the river to investigate. In the meantime, Kara and Kortni pay Sam Whitmore a visit. Kara feels like the third wheel intruding a family reunion when she sees her sister hugged by her birth father and leaves. Then she is called on telepathically by Mera. There are sea mines in the Thames and Tenebrae prowling around the waters, and Mera can not handle it alone.

Kortni has tea with her father. Samuel is overjoyed to reunite with his daughter, and he wants nothing but pamper her and keep her safe and away from the war. He means well, but his words don't sit well with Kortni.

Supergirl joins Mera and both women blow the Tenebrae up. Then they are challenged by a humongous, Kraken-like creature.
