Synopsis for Superman and the Forgotten Heroes: "Triad Of Terror!"
Breaking Ultivac out of the Fortress of Science outside Metropolis, Mister Poseidon and the robot find themselves in a confrontation with the Forgotten Heroes, giving a press conference in the city at the time. Escaping with Ultivac, who reluctantly finds himself under the mental control of his rescuer, Mister Poseidon rendezvous with the Enchantress.
Meanwhile, Superman faces down the Atom-Master, who escapes following a bank robbery. Ultivac brings Atom-Master to the attention of Mister Poseidon, who brings Atom-Master to him, believing Atom-Master's psionic helmet could give him power to rival the Enchantress's. Following the radiation trail of Atom-Master's helmet, Superman interrupts a meeting of the villains, now joined by a magical projection of Kraklow. Commanding Ultivac to attack Superman, the villains take their chance to escape...
With the Forgotten Villains being old foes of the Forgotten Heroes, Superman takes the situation to them and accompanies them into the past (using Rip Hunter's Time Sphere) to face Kraklow. Kraklow, however, is prepared for them and uses his magic to transform Superman into a dragon. Animal Man manages to subdue the dragon Superman, and the Forgotten Heroes devise a plan to break into Kraklow's castle on two fronts, by sea and underground through the mountain (using the Mighty Mole). Kraklow calls the now-revived Superman to the castle, but the Heroes free him. At this, Kraklow invokes his magic to send Superman and the Heroes elsewhen...

- Dane Dorrance makes an appearance during the Forgotten Heroes' assault on Kraklow's castle, but was not featured during the earlier press conference introducing the Forgotten Heroes and is not seen after the attack on the castle either.
- Animal Man mentions being a married man with two kids. This is the first evidence about the existence of Maxine and Clifford, who would debut only in Animal Man Vol 1 1.
- Ultivac had been dismantled in Showcase Vol 1 7. How and why he was rebuilt is unknown.
