This is a world after a event which changed the Earth's magnetic field, and humanity has abandoned the planet, leaving it to multiple species of sentient robots, which after centuries of evolution similar to the now extinct Earthly animals.



Notes

  • Pat Mills / Denny O'Neil's first work as a team for American comics. They already had long careers in British comics and would publish other work in group, Marshal Law, in 1989.
  • This was highly acclaimed and one of the first creator owned stories published by DC. The story was reprinted in 2000 AD later the same year.
