Synopsis for "Round Three: Wonder Woman vs. Lobo"

The next round of King Omega tournament begins. Wonder Woman will fight Lobo in a three-round fight. In the first round, the fighters will face each other in close-quarters combat, a contest that Lobo clearly savors. Surrounded by spectators from all over the universe, Wonder Woman and Lobo start throwing punches. Lobo capitalized of the clear absence of rules and starts pulling Wonder Woman from her hair, and Wonder Woman answers with the usage of her Lasso. Unfortunately, it is not enough to put Lobo out of commission and the Main Man repeatedly punches Wonder Woman in her face until she falls.

For the next round, the fighters are teleported into an arena resembling an Olympian temple and allowed to choose alternate forms that might give them new advantages against each other. Wonder Woman is outfitted in golden armor and surrounded by the Wonder Girls, while Lobo becomes his attractive self from the New 52 timeline. Lobo showers the Wonder Family with a rain of bullets but Wonder Woman takes the initiative and uses her sword to separate Lobo's right hand from the rest of his body. This gives the Wonder Girls an opportunite to attack Lobo all at once. Even Jumpa cannot help but attack Lobo's space dolphins.

Lobo reattaches his right hand with his trusty chain and begins his counterattack. The Wonder Girls are forced into the defensive until Wonder Woman comes to their aid by riding on Lobo's own bike and slicing him in half. The second round belongs to her.

For the final round, Wonder Woman and Lobo partake in a series of contest that put their multiple skills to the test, such as cleverness, speed and even their ability to drive a vehicle. The final phase of the round is a gladiatorial match in which the fighters are allowed to choose weapons. Lobo arms himself with multiple firearms and Wonder Woman fights back with Lobo's own chained hook. She ensnares Lobo with the chain and stabs him with her sword, but Lobo replies that he cannot die because he made a deal with God Himself. Unfortunately, he utters God's name in vain and loses his immortality. As a result, Lobo's injury is fatal and Wonder Woman wins the round.

At the Watchtower, Alpheus has summoned a group of multiple Booster Golds from across different points in time to attack Darkseid, who has taken possession of the current Booster Gold's body. Although Darkseid defeats the multiple Boosters, he is left severely exhausted by the effort, a side effect of attempting to survive in a mortal body. Of course, Darkseid still has one card to play: his Omega beams. With a single glance, Alpheus' body is left with a nasty burn and the World Forger is defeated. With his opponent out of the game, Darkseid moves to the next phase of his plan.

Trivia

  • After seeing Lobo turning himself into his impostor in the second round, Cassie Sandsmark breaks the Fourth Wall by saying "Who in the New 52 is that?." This is obviously a nod to the "original" Lobo making his first appearance during the New 52 era.
  • There are multiple references to the Lobo's Back series:
  • Lobo originally made an immortality deal with God during the events of Lobo: A Contract on Gawd.
