Synopsis for "Doomward Flight of the Flashes"

Jay and Joan Garrick arrive on Earth-One to visit Barry, but Iris informs them Barry and Wally went out to the movies. As they speak, Wally arrives, breathless, and Joan distracts Iris so Wally and Jay can talk. Wally and Barry had been headed to the movies, but were interrupted by a bank robbery. They sped to the rescue, but during the battle, Barry disappears in a flash of light, leaving Wally unconscious. Wally then finishes his story, and he and Jay go looking for Barry, but Wally then disappears too. He wakes up with Barry on another planet, where the Golden Man sends them off for a manhunt. However, this is revealed to be a ruse by the Golden Man to gather enough power to speed the evolution of his species. After Barry seemingly perishes in quicksand, the Golden man realizes that Wally won't be able to provide enough power on his own. The Golden Man kidnaps Jay then, who initially fights him but is defeated. He and Wally are then placed under a cold ray. Forced to vibrate to survive, they begin to falter. Barry Allen, revealed to have survived, runs in, and with the others help, defeats the Golden man. In a last ditch effort to stop them, the Golden man is devolved. The Flashes then return home, where they found up the Domino Gang and go there seperate ways.

Synopsis for "Space-Boomerang Trap!"
This story is reprinted from The Flash #124.
The Flash writes to his friend Ralph Dibny, also known as the Elongated Man, to keep the famed super-detective up-to-date on the goings on in his life. In his letter, Flash explains how his old foe Captain Boomerang had been released from prison, believing that it won't be too long before he commits another spectacular crime. Deducing that he might attempt to rob an exhibit of crown jewels from Normark that are on display, the Flash speeds off to check it out. There he does find Captain Boomerang in full uniform, however the crook tells the Flash that he is only viewing the display and is well within the law to do so. Flash concludes his letter by explaining that during the exhibit a boomerang suddenly flew into the room, snatched the jewels and vanished before he could capture it. When questioning Captain Boomerang about it, the crook tells the Flash that he's not the only person who could gimmick a boomerang to do tricks.
Finishing the letter, Ralph decides to pay a visit to Central City and give the Flash a helping hand in trying to solve this mystery. Meanwhile, at his hideout, Captain Boomerang gloats over how he's pulled a fast on on the Flash with his newest invention: time traveling boomerangs that travel into the future to steal things for him, that way he can be present at the scene of the crime and have an iron clad alibi. However, unknown to Boomerang, his latest invention is posing a threat to the Earth, as when it travels through time and space it travels through a highly advanced parallel world. The creatures there fear that the boomerang must be some sort of advance probe leading to an invasion from the Earth dimension, and the strange creatures of that world prepare to a misguided preemptive strike against the Earth.
Meanwhile, the Elongated Man joins up with the Flash at the Central City Museum where jewels are on display. Sure enough, Captain Boomerang arrives on the scene, and just like the previous robbery, a strange boomerang appears and snatches the jewels. This time however, the Flash and Elongated Man manage to capture the boomerang by combining their powers. When Captain Boomerang overhears the two heroes planning to dust the weapon for finger prints he attempts to flee the scene and the two heroes follow after him. When they round the corner they witness that all the people in the streets have fallen in dead faints.
They then watch a news report on a television informing the public of a strange invasion from creatures from another dimension that are using fatigue rays to knock people out. Flash, Elongated Man and Captain Boomerang all agree to work together to thwart this invasion attempt. Tracking down the alien creatures, the trio manage to overpower the invaders and send them back to their home dimension. With the aliens dispersed, the Flash then uses his vibrational powers to seal off the portal they had opened to the Earthly dimension. When the Flash returns to the city, he finds that Captain Boomerang has secured one of the aliens fatigue rays and used it on Elongated Man. When the Flash attempts to stop the villain he too is also zapped with the weird device.
When the Flash comes around, he finds himself strapped to a gigantic boomerang that Captain Boomerang hopes to use to launch the Flash into outer space. However, this plot fails when the Elongated Man revives in the nick of time and manages to grab the boomerang and pull it back down to Earth. With Boomerangs plot foiled, the Flash turns his foe and the time-traveling boomerang over to the police, who find that it does have the Captain's fingerprints on it and the crook is summarily re-incarcerated.

Abra Kadabra claims he will commit a crime a day with his new gang, and defies the Flash to stop him. His ace in the hole: he has transferred his "magic" to the Flash, who cannot cope with it.

Synopsis for "Kid Flash Meets the Elongated Man!"
This story is reprinted from The Flash #130.
Wally West, sitting in his bedroom in Blue Valley, gets a visit from his mentor, the Flash. The elder speedster says that he has received a letter from Elongated Man, asking for his help with a strange mystery. However, the Flash will be going on vacation, so he asks Wally, as Kid Flash, to take his place. An excited Wally agrees.
Later, Kid Flash travels to Goldville and meets Elongated Man, who explains the mystery. Even though it is spring throughout the country, Goldville and surrounding Oakley County are still experiencing severe winter.
Meanwhile, Weather Wizard observes his handiwork. He has built a weather control station, causing the extended winter, and threatened Goldville with more severe weather unless they pay him a total of $100,000 by that evening. His plan is to use the money to fund an even larger station.
After capturing one of the Rogue's henchmen robbing a bank, Elongated Man learns who is behind the weather. Meanwhile, Kid Flash happens upon the weather control station. He is met by Weather Wizard, who creates a thick cloud around the young speedster and knocks him out. Shortly, Elongated Man arrives, but he is stopped short by a bolt of lightning. Kid Flash wakes up and vibrates him free, and together, they are able to defeat Weather Wizard.

Synopsis for "Captives of the Cosmic Ray!"
This story is reprinted from The Flash #131.
Barry Allen and Hal Jordan purchase some arrows for an archery contest at a department store that features life-size statues of their alter egos, the Flash and Green Lantern. Afterwards, they return to Carol Ferris's home for their archery competition. However, it is interrupted by the arrival of a strange alien craft. Changing into their costumed identities, the pair chase after it, towards Coast City. However, the craft beams the Flash aboard and leaves Earth.
Green Lantern pursues the ship to a mysterious planet. It drops the Flash off on the surface, and Green Lantern discovers that it is unoccupied. The heroes are separated, however, by a sudden snowstorm. After a brief encounter with a giant creature, the storm ends and the Flash encounters the projection of an alien. Despite being turned upside-down with a strange ray, the speedster is able to avoid destruction and defeat the projection.
Meanwhile, Green Lantern is put into a predicament when gravity suddenly increases by a great magnitude, and, unable to move, he sees a giant wave of molten metal flowing toward him. However, with the aid of his ring, he survives. Afterwards, the gravity returns to normal and he is able to locate the Flash. Though briefly captured by giant hands that have grown out of a mountain, the pair of heroes is able to free themselves and head home to Earth.
However, they return to discover that the planet has been conquered by the alien Myrmitons. The heroes' experience on the other planet had been a diversion to get them off the planet while the aliens invaded. Threatened with the end of all life on Earth, the pair agrees to surrender. The aliens take Green Lantern's ring and use cosmic radiation to remove the Flash's speed.
However, the Flash soon explains to his friend what actually happened. In the split second before his speed was to be removed, he had dashed to the department store they had visited earlier and borrowed the life-size models of themselves. The ring Green Lantern had given up was in fact a replica, and the cosmic radiation had only hit the Flash dummy and not the real speedster.
Meanwhile, the Myrmitons, after failing to get the Green Lantern ring to work, suspect that they have been tricked. Their headquarters is surrounded by an energy barrier, which at first foils the Flash and Green Lantern's attempts to get inside. However, they soon figure out that the barrier does not penetrate underground, and they are able to get inside and defeat the aliens by burrowing in the ground beneath the base. They convince the aliens to leave Earth, holding a few of them hostage as incentive.
Afterwards, the two return to Carol's house in their civilian identities. They resume their archery contest, each deliberately missing the target so they can declare a tie.
