Jessica Cruz is organizing an adoption fair and gets quite a lot of money to help more puppies from it. As Hal Jordan comes to adopt a dog, he is confronted by his ex-girlfriend for spending time with Jessica, who she calls less attractive and a dog groomer. Hal thinks she's getting angry, but she states the dog Stella she decided to adopt is cuter than him. As Jessica readies the adoption papers for her, Bumblebee makes them notice the cats roaming around the stadium.

The girls realize that Catwoman set the cats loose to enrage the dogs and change into their superhero costumes. As they try to get the dogs and cats into separate kennels, Selina steals the donation jar but Zatanna gets it back using magic before she runs away. As Stella takes a like to Jessica, Carol gets angry and starts attacking her with her Star Sapphire ring. Jessica tries to give the dog to the other girls to prove it just generally likes people, but it keeps coming back to her, angering Carol more.

As Star Sapphire starts attacking all the superhero girls, Catwoman takes advantage of the situation to steal the donation jar again. Wonder Woman and Bumblebee help in taking it back before Zatanna imprisons her inside a giant purse. Carol meanwhile fights the girls again but they direct her attacks back at her. As she gets injured, Stella runs toward her and starts licking her, making her realize that she does like her. After she goes away, Bumblebee apologizes for the adoption fair being ruined but Jessica states that it was a success since she wanted to ensure that at least one dog got a permanent home.

This story is reprinted from DC Super Hero Girls: Hits and Myths.

Batgirl is unable to find her Batplane and Bumblebee decides it's time to convene the Metropolis Junior Detective Society. Hawkgirl suggests they look for any clues and Bumblebee shrinks herself to find one. She discovers a piece of hair in a shrub and shows it to Batgirl, who analyzes it her Batcomputer. The hair however turns out to be from a wig and the Flash states he knows who might have worn it. He runs off to the school building and starts pulling Grodd's hair, stating he wears a toupee. Grodd however angerly responds that he doesn't.

Batgirl decides to investigate the auditorium, but Cheetah refuses to let the heroes in, stating that the theater department students are performing a closed rehearsal. Batgirl then has Bumblebee open the lock to the back-door of the auditorium and tells the others to try to find the wig the hair found near her Batplane's landing pad. They find Ravager, Mammoth and Star Sapphire rehearsing a play and Hawkgirl exposes them by accidentally ripping the curtains with her wings. Ravager has her cohorts nab the intruding heroes and the four are imprisoned by Star Sapphire with her ring.

Batgirl and Hawkgirl tell Ravager that they're only trying to help and inform her about wigs being stolen from her theater department. She however refuses to believe anything can be stolen from under her and decides to investigate herself. Finding the costume room trashed, Ravager tells the four heroes that only Etrigan and Principal Amanda Waller have the other keys to the room. Flash discovers a copy of the Odyssey belonging to Etrigan and suspects him, but the others refuse to think so since he had left his evil ways behind. The heroes find his room trashed and Batgirl thinks that he's in danger.

The heroes discover a sulfurous smell emanating from the room and Batgirl contacts Wonder Woman to tell her that they've found something significant. Diana states they have too, as Lobo is revealed to have been contained by her, Katana and Poison Ivy after a fight.

Synopsis for "Chapter Two: The Dino Egg Effect"

This story is reprinted from DC Super Hero Girls: Past Times at Super Hero High #3 and DC Super Hero Girls: Past Times at Super Hero High #4

Katana tries to attack the hostile stegosaurus with her sword but gets stopped by Wonder Woman, who states that doing so can alter history. Beast Boy then transforms into a stegosaurus himself and asserts his dominance, leading the other stegosaurus to become submissive. The girls then watch as he tells the other dinosaurs to not kill each other for food. Meanwhile, Batgirl tries to fix the school bus she came in so they can rescue Liberty Belle and Harley gets sad upon learning that she doesn't need her for anything. After fixing it, the two schoolmates go searching for their teacher and Batgirl spots a glove of her teacher near a tree, leaving Harley disappointed at being useless again.

As they investigate, Liberty Belle cries out for help and Harley suggests creating footholds, but finds that Batgirl already has a solution as she uses her Batrope to allow them to climb. The girls come upon their teacher and Batgirl cuts her out of the vines she's tied up in with her Batarang. As they leave, Harley decides to take a pterodactyl egg so she can excel Batgirl. The pterodactyl who abducted Liberty Belle however later comes back to finds its egg missing and alerts the others. Meanwhile as Beast Boy is talking to the dinosaurs, Liberty Belle arrives with the bus which leaves him disappointed as he has to cut his speech short. The schoolmates however soon spot a group of aggressive pterodactyls heading their way.

Beast Boy rushes into the school bus but this causes Poison Ivy to fall outside, while Liberty Belle prepares it for time travel. Harley comes to Ivy's rescue and saves her from a pterodactyl and alerts her to other pterodactyls in the sky when she thanks her. The other girls come to help them and Beast Boy gets the other dinosaurs to fight the pterodactyls. Liberty Belle tells the kids to quickly get inside and takes them back to their time. Wonder Woman wonders if they altered history with their fight against the pterodactyls, but Belle assures that it'll be fine as long as no one did anything reckless, making Harley nervous about the egg she stole.

The heroes arrive back to their own time period and Liberty Belle is relieved to find that Super Hero High still exists, making Batgirl question why she sounded so sure earlier about nothing being altered. Belle admits she had her doubts but didn't want to create a negative vibe so it didn't affect their time travel. As she leaves to tell Principal Waller about their encounter with the dinosaurs, the students head back to school. Vice-Principal Grodd berates them when they laugh at Beast Boy's jokes, telling them it's against rules, but Diana states she doesn't remember any such thing. Bumblebee apologizes for them being late and Grodd tells her to not let it happen again as she's the ambassador to new students of the school.

As she makes the girls hurry to their class, Bumblebee gets told to slow down while Diana asks how come Grodd called her the ambassador to new students when she's the one. She however finds it ridiculous and searches the hallways for the hall monitors, so they can get to their class. As Harley wonders aloud what she's talking about since they didn't need to attend it because of their field trip, Bumblebee shushes her, warning they might get caught by Principal Savage. As Katana wonders who is she talking about, she shows them a poster of Vandal Savage advertising recruitment into his army.
