Synopsis for "Chapter Four"

The Aerie has flown for three days after their family were infected by the Anti-Life Equation and has been carrying Wink in their arms all this time. Aerie rejects resting until Wink is safe and keeps on firing until they reach Qurac's Jotunheim fortress. Soldiers under the command of Rustam and Manticore fire at them, since no one is allowed in, but Wink safely teleports herself and her partner inside. Aerie requests the fortress' defenders to let them stay there as they flew for days, promising any help in return and Wink reminds them that she could have teleported them outside if she wanted.

At the Fortress of Solitude, Wonder Woman has brought Wonder Girl and a few other people in her invisible plane, about which Damian is informed by Superboy. Jon notices him looking at a briefcase with Batman's batarang and empathizes with him being hesitant about living up to his father's legacy. Later at Jotunheim, Manticore asks the Aerie and Wink to find their missing affiliates Nightshade and Hyve. Wink asks him to let Aerie sleep for more time since they had flown for so long, but the latter agrees to help find them.

Back at the Fortress of Solitude, Superman asks Alfred to be left alone with Damian for a while. Talking to him about taking up his father's mantle, he states that Bruce thought he deserved it and he was always right. Damian disagrees and Superman responds that fathers may be incorrect, but they're always trying to protect them. When he gets asked about how he's feeling after his father's death, Superman gets surprised and remarks that he's a good kid who deserves to be Batman. Damian however feels reluctance since it will mean accepting that Batman is dead, but gets reminded that Bruce became a hero to protect others from loss after suffering his own and the world needs a Batman. Alfred later helps Damian put on the Batsuit and states he looks like Bruce.

Meanwhile Aerie who's searching for Hyve and Nightshade along with Wink, notices something coming from afar and informs the latter about it. This 'something' turns out to be a horde of Anti-Living, including Black Adam, Nightshade and Hyve. Wink teleports Aerie in time before Adam can land a hit on them. Grabbing their partner, Aerie flies back to Jotunheim and tells Wink that they must warn the fortress' defenders in time about the horde coming their way.
