Synopsis for the 1st Story

Two months ago, Rann has been at war with Thanagar. Adam Strange defend his adopted home and family from the Thanagarians until the Zeta Beam moved him back to Earth. Specifically in Gotham City, where Adam find the city desolated. Unaware of the Anti-Living, Adam tries to find the next scheduled Zeta Beam but only to run into the Anti-Living Wonder Woman, who immediately infects him. Two weeks later, an infected Adam Strange returns to Rann and spread the Anti-Life virus to the Rannians, Thanagarians, and soon across the universe.

Days later in the Rylex System, a ship of infected Thanagarians attacks a planet but only to be eliminated by the mercenary Lobo, who is immune to the Anti-Life virus.

In the present day, in Themyscira, the Amazons, Green Canary and Green Arrow attends Wonder Woman's funeral. After giving Diana a Viking-style funeral, Ares suddenly appears before everyone and tells them he is not here to ruin Diana's funeral or to threaten them. He is here to warn them and prepare them for a coming war, the Final War that will see every race in the universe die - as this has happened before according to a written historical record from a universe that was lost. Ares's warning is validated when the Green Lantern Corps broadcast a universe-wide warning to everyone about the Anti-Life virus that is spreading across space after Soranik Natu and Kyle Rayner informed of Korugar's fall.

Ollie is certain that they can stop the Anti-Living since they now have the cure for it. Ares, however, disagrees: they are not fighting an equation. He reveals that Darkseid was a powerful pawn for something much larger, and he had no idea what the Anti-Life Equation was capable of when he merged the Equation with death. Instead, Darkseid had unleashed "Erebos".
