Synopsis for "The Day I Tried to Live"

Somewhere, Copycat is being held in an interrogation room. A voice over the speaker system keeps asking her what she remembers. But before she answers anything else she asks to see "it" again. She is then shown an image of a huge portion of a planet (possibly Earth) exploding with The Authority's ship The Carrier flying away.

She begins telling her captors that she remembers falling. She lands in the middle of a battle between two primitive forces. She feels something in her neck which she identifies as a tracking device. But her teammate Frostbite arrives and saves her. They then run far away from the battle and hide out while Copycat sleeps for nine days.

When she awakens she questions Frostbite about their whereabouts. He says he doesn't remember much either. He remembers they were captured by someone, each implanted with chips, and then arrived in this primitive place. Copycat apparently arrived later than all the others.

Frostbite recalls the Dv8 team falling and landing in this place. Evo mentions that civilization doesn't seem to exist anywhere. The first night, Evo heads off to investigate a strange sound and doesn't return. The next day they find a primitive wall carving and soon realize that two suns have risen this morning so they're definitely not on Earth. Sublime wanders off during the day and doesn't return.

The next night Threshold, in his frustration, heads out on his own. He finds some natives and uses his powers to kill them. He then returns but tells everyone that he found nothing out there. After a fight with his sister Bliss, he heads out again on his own but doesn't come back this time. Bliss disappears the following night. Then Frostbite and Freestyle set out together and she's taken while he is knocked unconscious.

Frostbite reveals to Copycat that they are in a primitive village of some kind and they are being worshiped as gods. Each team member has taken to leading one of the warring tribes in the area and is using their powers to rule them. It now seems that some are preparing their tribes to take out the others.
