History
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Unique Physiology
- Superhuman Durability: Brick's primary power was his great resistance to injuries, he survived after being shot with multiple arrows by Emiko Queen and quickly recovered without showing any sign of pain, still his durability has its limits as an enraged Green Arrow was able to almost beat him to death with his bare hands.[1] In a later confrontation with Green Arrow brick took multiple arrows to the chest but they failed to cause any damage and simply bounced off his skin, an explosive arrow also failed to harm him.[2]
- Superhuman Strength: Brick has greater physical strength than the average human, he can break through a concrete wall with no effort and can easily lift a full grown man like Green Arrow with just one arm and could throw Emiko Queen against a wall with enough strength to crack it.[1] He has demolished a skycraper by punching down its foundations.[3]
Abilities
- Leadership: Brick was a highly effective criminal leader. He was able to gain control of Star City's entire underworld, and had great influence over the legal authorities as well.
- Hand-to-Hand Combat (Basic): He has some fight capabilities as show in his fights with Green Arrow but mostly relies on his brute strength.[2]
Weaknesses
- Buoyancy: Due to his heavy weight Brick can't swim and would drown if thrown in the water.[4]
Notes
- Brick was created by Judd Winick and Phil Hester, first appearing in Green Arrow (Volume 3) #40. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Brick first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Green Arrow (Volume 5) #31 by Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino.
