Danny Evans was an archeologist fascinated with Aquaman.
History
Danny Evans has a strong sense of truth and investigation. He appeared in Amnesty Bay investigating about the local legend of Aquaman. All the locals claimed to have no knowledge. Eventually he found a lead on the Curry Lighthouse.
When Aquaman was at a class reunion, Evans stole the Trident of Neptune.[1] Evans revealed to a small film crew that he is an archaeologist. He planned to use an ancient rune, the trident, to open the key to what he believed was the lost continent of Atlantis. The Giant Born had tricked Dr. Evans into misreading "Hell" as "Gate" and he unleashed them upon the world.
