Daniel Khalifa, also known as Ibis the Invincible, was a powerful sorcerer forced to act as the host of Hoku. For a time, he was known as Brother Pattern.[1]

- Daniel Khalifa was created by Tad Williams and Phil Winslade, first appearing in Helmet of Fate: Ibis the Invincible #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Daniel Khalifa first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Justice League Dark (Volume 2) #1 by James Tynion IV and Álvaro Martínez Bueno.
