Danny Ruby was a famous, late-night radio host at WBMN in Gotham City.

History

He was known for his very pro-Batman views. However, unknown to the public, Ruby was an affiliate of Gather House, a boarding school outside of Gotham that experimented on its students into doing their bidding. The radio host was connected with one of the school's former students - John Curry - and would frequently brainwash Curry into doing evil things for him until the boy was killed in one of these missions. After Ruby's identity was revealed as the man who got their son killed, John Curry's elderly parents killed him on Thanksgiving, leading to his position being filled by the anti-Batman fanatic Cory Edgars.
