History

It is shown primarily in black and white by anyone who views it. The Darklands is said by The Wizard that it is the final resting area for champions, since champions never truly die.[1]

When Billy fell down to the Darklands, he was soon greeted by a deceased ghost who called himself the "Ghost of Champions." He asked Billy a favor, to bring him back to life. His father Captain Marvel, Sr. arrived afterwards with the rest of his family and called out his child's lies. He directed Billy to where he needed to go. The Ghost of Champions, known as Captain Marvel, Jr., proclaimed he would return back to life after taking the life of Billy's family if they ever returned. Billy reached the tower and ran into Darla Dudley, Freddy Freeman, and Tawky Tawny here after evading some Vampires.[2]

It was revealed that Monster Society of Evil member Jeepers came from the Darklands.[3]

It was mentioned in Shazam's narration that the Shazam Family once helped the Ghost Patrol fight Count Dracula.[4]
