- Not so long ago, when I was a Darkstar's deputy, I would've felt a whole lot better about taking this kind of chance. With that outer space suit of armor, I could've rolled over twenty punks like this one. Jeez, how I miss having all that power!
Darkstars #13 is an issue of the series Darkstars (Volume 1) with a cover date of October, 1993.
Synopsis for "Where the Walls are Strong"
Ferrin Colos and his deputies return to Earth after the crisis on Maltus. They are welcomed by Annie, who warns them that the tenant wants them to leave and cease all operations in that building. Carla manages to convince the landlords to let the Darkstars continue their operations, assuring them that the building will be safe under their protection.
In space, Commander Dirnu Jurnin asks Regional Administrator Prigatz to protect a witness, placing him under Ferrin Colos' supervision on Earth. The witness in question is named Blindar Kleeg, known for his abilities that allow him to shunt matter into parallel dimensions, most notably used to shunt parts of his victims away, leaving them to die of shock. Ferrin protests against having a dangerous criminal like Kleeg on Earth, but Prigatz assures him that Kleeg's extra-dimensional abilities have been stripped from his brain.
Meanwhile, while attempting to take down a drug dealer, John Flint is kidnapped by Daniiki, who begins to transform the former Darkstar into "a juggernaut of incomparable force."
