Synopsis for "Slaves and Other Prisoners"
Ferrin Colos and Mo Douglas deliver Evil Star back to the prison guard ship in space. After the task is complete, the Darkstars go back to Ferrin's spaceship, and Mo can't help to be in awe at the sights of being in outer space.
In the Dallas Police Department, Captain Paul Noonan gives Flint the assignment to lead another raid and look into Frank Pappas' activities, this time involving the kidnapping of Carla White. Before leaving, the Captain warns Flint about his "drinking habits" that cause him to be absent from his job.
After returning to his apartment, Flint puts his Darkstar suit on and leaves Colos a message explaining that he's going on this mission alone to not endanger the lives of his men. As expected, Colos doesn't take Flint's report too well, and he angers at his headstrong attitude. On their way to Flint's location, Mo tries to defend his motivation, saying that it was Colos who gave them the hope and means to make a difference.
Meanwhile, Pappas takes Carla White to a technological compound, where some aliens enlist their new slave to transport her to another star system. Flint arrives at the facility and discovers a spaceship. Suddenly, he notices two winged figures lurking behind him, and he attacks them, thinking he blew his cover. However, the two lurkers, revealing themselves as Hawkman and Hawkgirl, shift their attention to fighting the aliens, and Flint realizes they are not the enemy. The commotion of the fight causes the aliens to initiate the launch sequence, and the spacecraft ignites its engines.
